The State Trading Centre (STC), on behalf of the Icelandic Coast Guard (ICG) requests tenders for rental (dry lease) of Search and Rescue Helicopter (LSAR or AWSAR), type Super Puma AS332L/L1 for surveillance and rescue work in and around Iceland for 12 months period in beginning of 2012, with permission to extend the contract for up to 5 years.
This public procurement is in provision of the budget acceptance of Althing, the Icelandic parliament, for the next year and then coming four year if it comes to an extension.
ICG currently operates two well equipped Search and Rescue Helicopters, type Super Puma AS332L1, one is fully owned by ICG and the other is leased. Consequently is ICG technical capacity as well as this tender restricted to the above mentioned type.
The helicopter must fulfill EASA PART 21, fulfill all requirements to have Airworthiness Certificate issued by EASA country and be qualified for registration on ICG AOC. ICG operates under EASA approvals JAR OPS3 and PART M subpart G.
